Much of the fun came from Team Flash’s attempt to groom Linda to take the place of her evil doppelganger. Following that cold opening, this episode was great about slowly building tension in the lead-up to the Zoom confrontation while still keeping things light and breezy. Luckily, that was about my only complaint this week. Normally flash-forwards of that sort help give the episode an extra jolt of drama, but it didn’t really work in this instance. Even if the teaser for this week’s episode hadn’t already spelled out the entire plot, it was pretty obvious what was actually going on. Something tells us that Team Flash’s plan to ambush the demonic speedster will not go according to plan.“Enter Zoom” opened with a flash-forward to the big rematch between Barry and Doctor Light. That’s not much to go by, but based on the promos for this week’s episode of The Flash, we know that Barry will use his ex-love interest Linda Park (the Earth-1 version) to lure Zoom into a trap. In his interview with EW, Gustin notes that something disturbing will happen to Barry when he encounters Zoom. Earth-2 Flash Jay Garrick – played by Teddy Sears – admitted to being afraid of Zoom on last week’s episode of The Flash now it seems Barry will soon find out why. Up until now Barry has shown a great deal of faith in himself and his team to take down Zoom as long as they cooperate – but even that may not prove enough to stop the villain.

He’s much stronger and faster, and Barry’s not necessarily ready for this, but he thinks he is. It’s going to be one of the more disturbing things, I think, that the viewers will have seen happen to Barry. As soon as Barry is face-to-face with him - like right in front of him battling with him - it becomes immediately clear to Barry, ‘Maybe I’m not ready for this.’ It’s pretty scary.
